Mauritius Minister Govindranath Gunness touched down in India on Thursday, embarking on a spiritual journey to the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. In an exclusive interview with ANI, the minister articulated his profound reverence for the sacred site, expressing overwhelming happiness at experiencing the land of Lord Ram firsthand.
The Ram Temple in Ayodhya stands as a monumental spiritual landmark for Hindus globally. On the year's first day, it bore witness to a massive influx of devotees, with the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust reporting over 200,000 ardent worshippers in attendance to offer prayers at the Shri Ram Lalla temple.
According to the trust, by January 1, 2025, a steady stream of pilgrims, organized in five orderly queues, had the divine experience of darshan, illustrating the unwavering faith of over 200,000 devotees. On the eve of the new year, December 31st, throngs of devotees participated in the final aarti of 2024, creating a profound and spiritual atmosphere as they lined up patiently for their turn to seek blessings for the upcoming year.
The temple not only drew worshippers from every corner of the country but also set a tone of spiritual renewal as part of New Year celebrations, with religious fervor evident across numerous religious venues, including temples and churches nationwide. (ANI)
