In a swift action, two alert Delhi traffic police personnel, including a woman constable, successfully apprehended a man accused of stealing a mobile phone from a passenger in central Delhi. The incident unveiled on a busy Monday morning when the alert officers nabbed the suspect following a short chase.
Constables Raj Kumar and Meena Nehra were stationed at the 11 Murti T-point on Mother Teresa Crescent. Their prompt response was triggered when a man hastily exited a moving bus and attempted to flee, raising the suspicion of the officers when the bus passengers raised an alarm.
A quick pursuit led to the apprehension of the suspect, identified as Aasif, and the recovery of the stolen mobile phone. A bus passenger subsequently confirmed ownership of the phone. The accused is now in police custody awaiting further action, officials stated.
