In a significant breakthrough, Delhi Police have dismantled a major criminal syndicate involved in the theft of Remote Radio Units (RRUs) from mobile towers, arresting 52 individuals associated with the crime. The authorities disclosed that the gang has been responsible for the theft of over 5,000 RRUs, which they allegedly sold overseas. The total value of these stolen units is estimated to exceed a whopping 100 crores.

Following a meticulous investigation, the police successfully recovered 700 RRUs from the arrested individuals. With this operation, Delhi Police have effectively solved approximately 250 RRU theft cases. However, further details regarding the investigation and the potential whereabouts of the remaining stolen units are still awaited.

In an unrelated incident, Delhi Police apprehended four suspects accused of pilfering a mobile phone belonging to French Ambassador to India, Thierry Mathou, during his visit to the Jain Mandir in North Delhi's Chandni Chowk area. The stolen phone has been successfully retrieved. This incident came to light when Ambassador Mathou filed an e-complaint regarding the lost phone on October 20, leading to a swift recovery by the police.
