In a distressing incident in Deoband, Uttar Pradesh, the suspicious deaths of two children have raised concerns over alleged Tantric rituals. Police responded after villagers discovered the bodies of Dev, 11, and his cousin Mahi, 9, on a roadside, with signs indicating a possible road accident.
The family members, however, suspect foul play, claiming the deaths were part of a Tantric ritual. This led to heightened tensions as villagers blocked the Deoband-Nanota road, demanding a comprehensive investigation into the matter.
Authorities have attempted to quell the unrest by promising a detailed probe into the circumstances surrounding the deaths. The remains of the children have been sent for a postmortem to determine the cause of death.
