The winter session of the Odisha assembly is slated to begin on November 26, following a recent notification. This significant event in the state's legislative calendar will span until December 31, covering 30 working days.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, also overseeing the Finance Department, is expected to present the Supplementary Budget for the fiscal year 2024-25 on the session's opening day. Meanwhile, the Appropriation Bill is scheduled for December 5. Stakeholders will engage in discussions on demands for grants from December 2 to 4.
The provisional schedule outlines 20 days dedicated to official business and five to private members' initiatives. The assembly will observe its traditional holiday closures, including a break for Christmas on December 25.
