On the eve of Diwali, Delhi Chief Minister Atishi announced the approval of an innovative 'Anywhere Registration' policy for property registrations. This policy allows residents to register their properties at any sub-registrar office, eliminating the need to visit a specific office based on location.

The new system aims to streamline the process, reducing long waiting lines and addressing inefficiencies caused by uneven distribution of appointment slots. All sub-registrars will operate with jurisdiction across Delhi, serving as joint sub-registrars, enhancing both transparency and user convenience.

This policy is also targeted at curbing the influence of middlemen who take advantage of people seeking expedited registration processes. By enabling appointments at any of the 22 sub-registrar offices, property owners now have significant freedom of choice, reducing the potential for corrupt practices.
