On Friday, Himachal Pradesh's Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu met Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in New Delhi, focusing on urgent issues related to the state's border regions.
Emphasizing strategic importance, Sukhu stressed the enhancement of road infrastructure, particularly in tribal districts like Kinnaur, Lahaul, and Spiti, which share a 240 km border with China. These areas include nine critical high-altitude passes.
The Defence Minister assured full support for improved connectivity, acknowledging the state's strategic challenges.
