Chhattisgarh Minister Honors Fallen ITBP Heroes Amidst Intense Anti-Naxal Campaign

In a solemn gesture of respect, Chhattisgarh Minister Tank Ram Verma personally carried the bodies of two Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) officers who perished in an improvised explosive device (IED) attack by Naxals in Narayanpur district. The minister emphasized ongoing government efforts to curtail Naxalite activities.
In related developments, the Inspector General of Police for the Bastar Range reported that two police officials injured during a Naxal encounter were recovering. The ITBP personnel killed in the attack were identified as Pawar Amar Shamrao and K Rajesh.
An ITBP and Narayanpur police joint search team came under Naxal attack on October 19, resulting in a massive IED explosion. Additionally, Dantewada police confirmed the elimination of 38 Naxal cadres in the Abujhmad forests, with 31 bodies recovered and mostly returned to their families.
