Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to launch a slew of development projects across India, including several airport initiatives totaling over Rs 6,100 crore during his visit to Varanasi.
The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for expanding the Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport, with a new terminal costing around Rs 2,870 crore. This initiative will increase the airport's capacity to serve more passengers annually. Additional projects include the construction of new airport infrastructure at Agra, Darbhanga, and Bagdogra.
Alongside these projects, PM Modi will inaugurate advancements in Varanasi's sports facilities and tourism infrastructure. Notable initiatives include redevelopment efforts at the Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar Sports Stadium and heritage-inspired designs at newly constructed terminals. These endeavors aim to foster local culture and promote tourism.
