The Delhi Police Special Cell is deploying a team to Mumbai in connection with the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique, according to police sources on Sunday. Siddique was attacked by three individuals in Mumbai's Bandra locality, sustaining gunshot injuries that led to his death.
The law enforcement officers suspect a possible tie to gang activity, contract killing, or business rivalry. Two suspects, Gurmail Baljit Singh and Dharmaraj Rajesh Kashyap, have been apprehended while searches continue for the third suspect.
The investigation has yet to conclude, with the police having recovered the weapon used in the crime. The Special Cell will assist Mumbai Police in examining all potential motivations behind the incident.
