Odisha to Expand Air Connectivity with New Direct Flights in 2025

The Odisha government has announced a major expansion of its air connectivity, starting direct flights to several cities from January 2025.
The Chief Minister's Office revealed that Veer Surendra Sai Airport in Jharsuguda and Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar will begin these services. Direct flights will link Jharsuguda with Hyderabad, Raipur, Lucknow, and Mumbai starting January 1, 2025. Similarly, Bhubaneswar will see new routes to Indore, Dehradun, Kochi, Jaipur, and Lucknow commencing on January 3.
The move is anticipated to significantly boost Odisha's economic growth, as emphasized by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi.
