The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has uncovered a corruption scandal involving Navi Mumbai's senior police inspector, Satish Jadhav. The official was found to have accepted a bribe of Rs 14 lakh in the past, in addition to the Rs 3.50 lakh he was caught with on Tuesday night.

The latest arrest occurred near the police quarters, where Jadhav allegedly accepted the bribe to refrain from arresting a man involved in a cheating case. Jadhav had initially demanded Rs 4 lakh from the complainant, whom he had previously charged to assist in securing bail for the man's father, held in the context of a building collapse.

The ACB trapped Jadhav while he accepted the bribe and booked him under the Prevention of Corruption Act. Anil Gerdikar, the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, has stated that further investigations into the case are underway.
