The Anti-Corruption Bureau conducted extensive searches across multiple locations in Rajasthan on Wednesday, targeting Kota Divisional Commissioner Rajendra Vijay in a disproportionate assets case, according to officials.

During the raids, authorities discovered documents relating to 13 commercial and residential plots, Rs 2.22 lakh in cash, 335 grams of gold ornaments, 11.8 kilograms of silver jewelry, and three four-wheelers. Other finds included life insurance policies, 16 bank accounts, and one bank locker yet to be examined.

In response to the searches, the Rajasthan government promptly removed Vijay from his post, placing him under 'Awaiting Posting Order' status. A senior Anti-Corruption Bureau official confirmed that complaints had suggested Vijay's assets exceeded his lawful income, leading to the FIR and subsequent raids. The search was spread across multiple cities and was anticipated to conclude by Wednesday evening. Vijay had only recently taken up his role as Kota divisional commissioner, having previously served in Baran and Balotra. The government also assigned additional charge of his post to Kota Collector Ravindra Goswami.
