Sonam Wangchuk, on a hunger strike in New Delhi, disclosed receiving support from a discreet member of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh on Wednesday night. The individual, avoiding CCTV coverage, provided herbal mosquito repellent and expressed solidarity with Wangchuk's cause for Ladakh.

Despite this covert backing, the group of protestors, fasting since Sunday, awaits a response from the government. BJP figure Naresh conveyed a supportive message from Murli Manohar Joshi, underscoring a broader support transcending political boundaries.

The protestors demand Ladakh's inclusion in the sixth schedule of the Constitution for better governance of tribal areas, statehood, and additional parliamentary representation, enduring detention and release in their march from Leh to Delhi.
