Illegal Wildlife Trade: Four Arrested with Red Sand Boa in Mumbai
Four men were apprehended in Mumbai for attempting to sell a red sand boa snake illegally. Acting on a tip-off, police recovered the snake, valued at Rs 30 lakh, from an SUV. The suspects were charged under wildlife protection laws, and the snake was handed to the forest department.

In a crackdown on illegal wildlife trade, Mumbai police have arrested four individuals who were allegedly attempting to sell a red sand boa snake. The arrests occurred in the Cuffe Parade area following a tip-off.
The accused, Narasimha Satyama Dhoti, Shiva Mallesh Adap, Ravi Vasant Bhoir, and Arvind Chaturam Gupta, hail from Telangana and different parts of Mumbai. The snake, believed to be worth Rs 30 lakh in the black market, was found in an SUV.
The men have been charged under the Wildlife Protection Act, and the red sand boa has been handed over to the forest department for further investigation.
