MP's Son Accused of Kidnapping and Assault

An FIR has been registered against Samajwadi Party's Faizabad MP Awadhesh Prasad's son, Ajit Prasad, on allegations of kidnapping, threatening, and assaulting a man, police officials reported.

The complaint, lodged by Ravi Tiwari, was filed at the Kotwali city police station on Saturday. The FIR includes charges under various sections, including kidnapping and criminal intimidation.

The incident reportedly took place near the State Bank of India's main branch in Faizabad City following a land commission dispute. Ajit Prasad, who deals in property, is anticipated to run for the Milkipur by-election seat, although the party has yet to announce its candidates officially.
