AP CM Promises Compensation for Flood-Affected Farmers
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu announced that farmers and house-owners affected by recent floods will receive compensation before September 17. The government promised Rs 25,000 per hectare for lost paddy crops and will deposit subsidies directly into tenant farmers' bank accounts. Naidu conducted an aerial survey and review of the flood-hit areas.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu announced on Wednesday that all farmers, house-owners, and livestock rearers affected by the recent floods will be compensated by September 17.
The Chief Minister assured a compensation of Rs 25,000 per hectare for lost paddy crops.
'We will enumerate all the losses transparently and with accountability. I have witnessed your difficulties first-hand and promise to deliver justice to all those impacted by the floods,' Naidu said during a review meeting in Eluru.
Naidu noted the severity of the losses, particularly the paddy crops ready for harvest after 70 days of cultivation. He assured that the government would support tenant farmers by depositing input subsidies directly into their bank accounts.
On Wednesday, the Chief Minister conducted an aerial survey of the flood-hit regions in Eluru district and reviewed the conditions of Kolleru lake, Upputeru, and Tammileru rivulets with officials.
