Odisha CM Launches CM-KISAN Yojana, Distributes Rs 925 Crore to Farmers
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi initiated the CM-KISAN Yojana in Sambalpur on Sunday, allocating Rs 925 crore to nearly 46 lakh farmers during the Nuakhai harvest festival. The new scheme aims to financially support small and marginal farmers with Rs 4,000 annually, supplementing the existing PM-KISAN benefits.

Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi launched the CM-KISAN Yojana in Sambalpur, distributing Rs 925 crore to approximately 46 lakh farmers during the Nuakhai harvest festival.
This initiative, replacing the previous Kalia scheme, will provide Rs 4,000 annually in two instalments to support small and marginal farmers in the state. Combined with the PM-KISAN scheme, Odisha farmers will receive a total of Rs 10,000 annually.
Majhi also unveiled a scholarship scheme for the children of CM-KISAN beneficiaries, ensuring financial aid for technical education. Additionally, a new unified portal was introduced to provide year-round agricultural information and support.
