According to sources, the terrorists ambushed a security forces' vehicle in the Mamond tehsil of Bajaur district, causing significant damage.
Following the ambush, additional security contingents swiftly cordoned off the area to search for the attackers. The region has seen multiple attacks in recent days, including an explosion on Monday that injured six people, including three policemen and three polio workers in South Waziristan district's Wana town.
Last week, security forces averted a major tragedy by thwarting an attack on the Frontier Corps unit headquarters in Mohmand district. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) confirmed that four suicide bombers were killed during the assault on the Mohmand Rifles Headquarters.
