A court has sentenced a 45-year-old man to one-year rigorous imprisonment for sexually harassing a four-year-old girl by exposing himself to the child.
Additional Sessions Judge Preeti Parewa found the man guilty under section 12 (sexual harassment) of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, and wrongful confinement.
Prosecutor Sarita Rani argued for strict punishment, citing the heinous nature of the crime. The court, noting the victim's tender age and the convict's socio-economic background, delivered the sentence after a nine-year trial.
