Elderly Man Arrested for Alleged Assault on Minor in Jehanabad

A 60-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting an eight-year-old girl in Bihar's Jehanabad district, police confirmed on Sunday.

The complaint, filed by the child's mother, stated that the girl was playing outside her home in Supi in Tehta police station area when the accused lured her to a secluded location and attacked her. He purportedly threatened her to stay silent.

Upon returning home, the girl informed her mother, who then contacted the police to lodge a complaint. An FIR was registered and the suspect was promptly taken into custody.

The police escorted both the man and the girl to the district hospital for medical examinations. The case remains under investigation.
