Police have taken action against a local BJP leader and his associates for reportedly demolishing a house built on disputed land along a highway. The incident was reported on Saturday, officials confirmed.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Yamuna Nagar), Vivek Kumar, revealed that the Ghurpur police station was notified about the demolition on September 5 by the building's owner, Abhishek Tripathi. Following the complaint, police inspected the site and registered an FIR.

Two individuals have been arrested and the bulldozer used in the demolition was seized, according to Kumar. Tripathi alleged that Raees Chandra Shukla's aides, along with around 30 unidentified people, demolished his house, looted belongings, and threatened him. The case remains under investigation as some suspects, including Shukla, are still at large.
