Heroic Policeman Saves Lives by Preventing Major Fire in Shahpur Jat

In a heroic act, Head Constable Bhandari prevented a major fire from spreading in South Delhi's Shahpur Jat area, officials reported on Saturday.

A video circulated online shows Bhandari risking his life to douse a fire by covering a burning LPG cylinder with a wet cloth, as panicked residents screamed for help. The swift response, during his patrolling duty, earned him recognition from Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Ankit Chauhan.

Bhandari's prompt action not only controlled the fire on the ground floor of a four-story building but also saved multiple lives. He is being rewarded for his valiant efforts, Chauhan confirmed.
