A man has been arrested in Goa for allegedly killing a dog by dragging it behind his two-wheeler for kilometers, according to officials on Friday.
The accused, Ashok Panhalkar, originally from Karnataka and currently residing in Khorlim, Mapusa, has been charged under the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act.
Police acted after a video of the incident went viral on social media. The incident reportedly occurred on September 4, leading to the death of the dog, whose carcass was found dumped on the roadside.
