Gurugram Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer Nishant Kumar Yadav announced on Thursday that all necessary preparations for the upcoming voting in the district's four assembly constituencies have been completed.

During a press conference at the Mini Secretariat, Yadav emphasized the administration's commitment to ensuring a peaceful, impartial, and harmonious environment for the October 5 polls. The constituencies involved are Pataudi, Badshahpur, Sohna, and Gurugram.

Yadav stated that the district has 14,97,000 eligible voters with 1,504 booths, with 126 located in high-rise buildings, benefiting around 1,50,000 voters. A total of 12,000 polling staff will soon undergo training, while 12 static surveillance teams and 20 flying squad teams will monitor the voting process. Police and administrative officers will be deployed at 200 sensitive booths, and basic facilities will be available at all polling centers. Yadav urged citizens not to mix religious events with political activities.
