In a tragic incident that has sparked outrage, a six-year-old girl was allegedly abducted, gang-raped, and murdered by two youths in Bihar's Gaya district, authorities confirmed on Tuesday.
Following the heinous act, the accused dumped her body along the banks of the Morhar River in Uchirvan village, falling under the jurisdiction of Sherghati police station. Both suspects have been apprehended.
According to the FIR lodged by the victim's family, the girl was kidnapped from her home while asleep, subjected to sexual assault, and then murdered on Monday night. The district police issued a statement detailing the crime and their swift response, including the arrest and interrogation of the suspects. Locals, infuriated by the crime, thrashed one of the accused and protested at the police station. A post-mortem examination was conducted, and charges of kidnapping, gang rape, and murder were filed against the accused.
