Infant Tragedy: Mother and Boyfriend Arrested for Alleged Murder

A five-day-old infant was allegedly murdered by its mother and her boyfriend. The two suspects, Asha and Ratheesh, buried the body at Ratheesh's house in Cherthala. Investigations revealed that Asha gave birth on August 26, and the murder took place on August 31.

A shocking incident has come to light in Cherthala district, where a five-day-old infant was allegedly murdered by its mother and her boyfriend. Police have arrested Asha (35) and her boyfriend Ratheesh (38) in connection with the crime.

The police claimed that the two suspects strangled the infant on August 31. The body was later discovered buried on the premises of Ratheesh's house.

Further investigations found that Asha, a married woman with two children, delivered the baby via cesarean section on August 26 at a private hospital in Cherthala. Ratheesh, also married and father of one, accompanied her using the alias Manoj. The baby was reportedly healthy upon discharge from the hospital on August 31 at around 11 am.
