The authorities of Paradip Port in Odisha have detained three Ghana nationals while they attempted to hide aboard a coal-laden cargo ship, police said.

The Ghanaians are currently held in custody by the CISF, according to officials.

The trio were apprehended when the ship, MV Great Sheng Wen, docked in a restricted area of Paradip Port on Friday, a police officer confirmed.

Officials noted that the three Ghanaians were not part of the officially listed 20-member crew of the vessel.
