Sahith Theegala, last year's champion, surged into form during the second round of the Procore Championship with a remarkable 6-under 66, placing him sixth on the leaderboard. Theegala is four shots behind Patton Kizzire, who leads with a 13-under at the Silverado course in Napa Valley's wine country.

Patton Kizzire shot an impressive 7-under 65, granting him a one-stroke lead over David Lipsky, who stands at 12-under. Kizzire, chasing his first PGA TOUR victory in six years, accumulated seven birdies, six of which came on the back nine, culminating in a 13-under 131 total. Lipsky, the first-round leader, posted a diverse 67 with eight birdies, an eagle, three bogeys, and a double bogey. Patrick Fishburn sits at 11-under after a solid 65, overcoming a bogey with six birdies and an eagle.

Matt Kuchar and J.J. Spaun are both positioned at 10-under, while Theegala remains four shots back following his 66. Theegala, playing alongside Wyndham Clark and Max Homa, began with a birdie but counterbalanced it with a bogey on the second hole. He finished strong, posting birdies on the fourth, eighth, 13th, 15th, 17th, and 18th holes.

Two-time champion Max Homa failed to make the cut, alongside other notable players like Presidents Cup International team captain Mike Weir, 2020 tournament champion Stewart Cink, and Wyndham Clark. Theegala is aiming to be the third player to claim consecutive victories in the Procore Championship at Silverado since it moved there in 2014, akin to Brendan Steele (2016-17) and Max Homa (2021-22).
