Delhi Food and Civil Supplies Minister Imran Hussain conducted a thorough review of the food, civil supplies, and consumer affairs department on Thursday, as per an official statement.

In a meeting with the special commissioner and assistant commissioners, Hussain scrutinized the distribution of free ration under the National Food Security Act (NFSA) and One Nation One Ration Card (ONORC) scheme, which covers the entire national capital.

Officials presented their performance, and reported that August's ration distribution is complete, with preparations for September's distribution set to start from September 1. The NFSA ration distribution is free to eligible beneficiaries, including those under the ONORC scheme. Hussain instructed officials to display mandatory information at fair-price shops and highlighted Delhi's top performance in the ONORC scheme.
