Special Campaign 4.0 by Food and Public Distribution Department to Launch in October

The Department of Food and Public Distribution will initiate Special Campaign 4.0 from October 2 to October 31, focusing on reducing backlogs, managing records, optimizing space, and enhancing office cleanliness. Previous campaigns achieved significant improvements in Swachhata, space liberation, and revenue generation.

The Department of Food and Public Distribution is gearing up for Special Campaign 4.0, slated to run from October 2 to October 31. This initiative aims to tackle various objectives including the reduction of pending matters, improved record management, efficient space utilization, and the overall cleanliness and beautification of office premises, according to a press release.

Having successfully completed Special Campaign 1.0 in 2021, Special Campaign 2.0 in 2022, and Special Campaign 3.0 in 2023, the Department has consistently focused on Swachhata and the disposal of pending references. During Special Campaign 3.0, significant attention was given to cleanliness, space, and record management.

Special Campaign 3.0 resulted in the weeding out of 7,57,000 files, freeing up 2,86,441 square feet of space, and generating Rs. 1.07 crore in revenue. From November 2023 to August 2024, an additional 21,978 square feet was cleared by discarding old files and auctioning scrap materials, which brought in Rs. 13,52,606, as per a press release by the department.
