Telegram boss Pavel Durov will stay in police custody for up to 48 hours more as part of a cyber crime investigation, the Paris prosecutor announced on Tuesday. The decision to extend his detention was made on Monday evening.
Durov was arrested last Saturday. The investigation is looking into crimes related to suspected illicit transactions, child pornography, and fraud on the Telegram app. Authorities have also cited Durov's refusal to communicate essential information during the probe.
