West Bengal Police on Tuesday refuted Leader of Opposition Suvendu Adhikari's claim that four student activists were missing. The police stated that the students were arrested for their alleged involvement in a conspiracy of murder and planning large-scale violence.

The police emphasized that the missing allegation was false. According to their information, the students were planning to create significant disruption during the planned 'Nabanna Abhijan' and were involved in serious criminal activities.

Earlier, BJP leader Adhikari had claimed that the four student activists were untraceable since midnight and alleged their detention by state police. He cautioned that the state police would be held accountable if anything happened to the students. A complaint was lodged at Golabari Police Station.
