AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Saturday condemned the demolition of Shahzad Ali's house in Madhya Pradesh's Chhatarpur district, labeling it as 'state-sponsored communalism.'
The incident occurred a day after violent protests erupted over anti-Islam remarks allegedly made by Hindu seer Ramgiri Maharaj. The protests led to stone-pelting and vehicle damage, injuring several policemen.
Owaisi, while condemning the violence, questioned the legal basis for the house demolition and accused local authorities of not following due process. He also criticized PM Modi and the BJP for disrespecting constitutional values.
