A jewellery shop owner, Jai Soni, was fatally shot by unidentified assailants during a robbery in Rajasthan's Khairthal-Tijara district, police confirmed on Saturday.
The incident occurred on Friday in Bhiwada's central market, where Soni, his brother Madhusudan Soni, and guard Sujan Singh were attacked. The assailants, who arrived in a car, stormed the shop, looted it, and opened fire, injuring all three individuals. Jai Soni succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
Inspector-General of Police, Jaipur range, Anil Kumar Tank, stated that police teams are examining CCTV footage to identify and apprehend the perpetrators. The injured parties are receiving treatment at a local hospital.
