Headmaster Jamal Kamil of a government school in Meerut has been suspended and arrested following serious allegations of inappropriate behavior by a class 4 student, officials stated on Friday.

The incident escalated when the girl's parents confronted and thrashed Kamil after the complaint came to light.

According to District Basic Education Officer Asha Chaudhary, Kamil has been suspended immediately and reassigned to another school pending an investigation. Chaudhary explained that Kamil allegedly summoned several students to his office ostensibly to trim their nails but then misbehaved with the girl.

Mawana Police Station In-charge Saurabh Singh confirmed that a case has been filed against Kamil, who has been taken into custody. The inquiry into the matter is currently ongoing.
