White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan will meet with Chinese diplomat Wang Yi in China next week to discuss various issues, including Taiwan and U.S.-China military talks, according to a senior administration official.
Topics on the agenda also include artificial intelligence, China's support for Russia's defense industry, and counternarcotic efforts. The talks are scheduled for Aug. 27-29 in Beijing.
The officials will further discuss the South China Sea, North Korea, the Middle East, and Myanmar during the high-stakes meetings, the official told reporters.
