Eight Persons Linked to AQIS Detained in Jharkhand Raids

Eight individuals allegedly connected to Al-Qaida in the Indian Sub-continent (AQIS) were detained by security forces across Jharkhand on Thursday, an official reported.
The coordinated raids were executed by the Jharkhand ATS, Special Task Force (STF), Ranchi Police, and Delhi Police across 16 locations in Ranchi, Hazaribag, and Lohardaga after receiving a tip-off from central agencies.
'Eight suspects have been detained thus far and are currently being interrogated. Several illegal arms, laptops, mobile phones, and suspicious documents have been seized during the operation, which is still ongoing,' stated Jharkhand Police spokesperson and IG (Operations) Amol V Homkar. Following interrogation and document verification, additional legal actions will be taken.
