Putin Assesses Damage After Ukrainian Incursion into Kursk Region

Russian President Vladimir Putin convened a high-level meeting on Thursday to address the situation in Russian regions bordering Ukraine. This follows an incursion by Ukrainian troops into the Kursk region on August 6.
"I have gathered you in order to discuss the situation that is developing at the moment in the border regions of Russia," Putin stated as he opened the meeting.
First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov provided an update, stating that assessments are underway to evaluate the damage to both agriculture and industry in the affected border regions.
