A teenage girl from Kerala, who went missing a day ago, was traced to Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, on Wednesday night after an extensive search by police and volunteers.

Visuals broadcasted by news channels showed Thasmid Thamasum, the girl in question, found safe on a West Bengal-bound train by members of the Malayalee Association in Visakhapatnam. Her parents expressed their relief and gratitude to the police and media for their prompt action.

The girl's mother revealed that Thasmid had left home following a familial dispute. Her elder brother also conveyed his happiness over the situation. The Kerala Police had intensified their search operations after receiving a complaint from her parents, involving CCTV footage analysis and extending the search to neighboring regions.
