Earlier, the Kerala government announced a high-level inquiry into serious accusations made by ruling LDF MLA P V Anvar against some senior IPS officers, including ADGP Ajith Kumar, a close confidant of the CM. The allegations have sparked sharp reactions from opposition parties.
The Nilambur legislator on Sunday accused Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan's political secretary P Sasi and ADGP (Law and Order) Ajith Kumar of violating trust and failing to manage their responsibilities honestly, putting the CPI (M)-led government in a difficult position.
