West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose on Wednesday visited the residence of the woman doctor who was reportedly raped and murdered at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital.

Returning from Cuttack, Bose headed straight to the doctor's residence in North 24 Parganas district and engaged in a conversation with her parents.

''I have listened to both the parents. I will be writing to the chief minister in a closed envelope. They told me certain things, confidential now,'' Bose informed reporters.

According to sources close to the governor, Bose was visibly moved by the parents' grief over their daughter's tragic fate.

Bose had previously assured the parents of justice over the phone twice on Tuesday. Meanwhile, healthcare services at state-run hospitals in West Bengal remained disrupted as junior doctors continued their 13-day-old protest against the alleged rape and murder of the postgraduate trainee at RG Kar hospital.
