The family of slain rationalist Narendra Dabholkar has taken their fight for justice to the Bombay High Court, challenging a sessions court's decision to acquit three individuals in the case.
The appeal, filed by Dabholkar's daughter, Mukta, also contests the ruling that freed two other accused from charges of criminal conspiracy and terrorist acts under the UAPA. The petition was heard on Wednesday by Justices Revati Mohite Dere and Prithviraj Chavan, who issued notices to all accused and the CBI.
The court has scheduled the next hearing for September 23. Mukta Dabholkar argues that the murder was a 'well-planned conspiracy' involving the right-wing group Sanatan Sanstha, and claims there is ample evidence to support this.
