The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), in collaboration with the Railway Protection Force (RPF), has successfully dismantled a drug syndicate in Goa, officials announced on Wednesday. The operation led to the arrest of two men and the seizure of charas worth Rs 9 lakh.

The first arrest occurred on August 19 at Thivim railway station in North Goa, where the accused, identified as TKT, was found in possession of 883.64 grams of charas. He revealed that the charas trafficking network was run by Keralites in North Goa, with the drugs being regularly procured from Kullu, Himachal Pradesh.

Following TKT's information, the NCB arrested the main handler, identified as IB, at Keri beach on the same day. Efforts are ongoing to identify and apprehend other syndicate members, according to the anti-drug agency.
