According to Kyiv's General Staff, the attack occurred near Novoshakhtinsk and was in response to the S-300s being used to attack civilian infrastructure in Ukraine. 'Explosions were observed at specified targeting points,' the General Staff mentioned, adding that the accuracy of the strike is still under assessment.

Meanwhile, Rostov governor Vasily Golubev stated that air defense forces had intercepted and destroyed a missile launched by Ukraine over his region. However, Russia's defense ministry did not mention the incident in its daily briefing.
