Tata Power and Tata Motors to Revolutionize EV Charging with 200 New Stations
Tata Power Renewable Energy’s arm, Tata Power EV Charging Solutions, and Tata Motors have agreed to establish 200 fast-charging stations for electric commercial vehicles in major Indian cities. This initiative aims to provide sustainable mobility solutions, lower operating costs, and leverage renewable energy for greener operations.

Tata Power Renewable Energy's arm, Tata Power EV Charging Solutions, and Tata Motors have signed an initial pact to set up 200 fast-charging stations for electric commercial vehicles in all metro cities, a statement said on Thursday.
This strategic move expands their ongoing collaboration, focusing on delivering sustainable mobility solutions and ensuring easy charging options for small electric commercial vehicles, the statement elaborated.
Under the MoU, Tata Power EV Charging Solutions will install 200 fast-charging stations in major metro cities, including Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru, and Kolkata.
Tata Motors and Tata Power will offer exclusive charging tariffs for Tata Motors' electric CV owners, aiming to reduce operating costs and enhance profitability for customers, according to the statement.
Additionally, electric commercial vehicle users nationwide will gain access to nearly 1000 strategically placed fast chargers as part of the planned network expansion.
Vinay Pathak, Vice President & Business Head – SCV&PU, Tata Motors, highlighted that the partnership will also seek to utilize renewable energy to make electric vehicle operations more environmentally friendly.
Deepesh Nanda, CEO & MD, Tata Power Renewable Energy, noted, ''This collaboration underlines our commitment to accelerating e-mobility by providing an expansive and reliable EV Charging network across India.'' Tata Power has expanded its network under the brand name EZ Charge to over 1,00,000 home chargers, 5,500+ public, semi-public, and fleet charging points, along with 1100+ bus charging stations across 530 cities and towns.
These chargers have been strategically placed in various accessible locations, including highways, hotels, malls, hospitals, offices, and residential complexes.
