On Friday, a senior German official emphasized the deep trust and friendship forming the foundation of the India-Germany relationship, which is driving both nations forward and contributing globally. This statement came ahead of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz's anticipated visit to India.

In an interview with PTI, Uwe Gehlen, Head of Development Cooperation at the German Embassy in India, highlighted the significance of upcoming events like the Hamburg Sustainability Conference in October, where India will play a key role from both public and private sectors.

Gehlen also participated in a panel at the International Solar Festival in New Delhi, discussing the 'Financing the Renewable Energy Revolution' and Germany's support for India's renewable energy ambitions for 2030. He underscored the progress of the Green and Sustainable Development Partnership and the importance of Scholz's visit in October, which aims to further solidify economic and trade relations between the two nations.
