Overnight, Russia launched a heavy barrage of drones, cruise, and ballistic missiles at Kyiv, coinciding with children preparing to return to school across Ukraine. Some schools had to cancel classes due to the damage.
Explosions rocked Kyiv during the early hours, with intercepted missile and drone debris falling across all districts, wounding three individuals and damaging two kindergartens, according to Ukraine's Interior Ministry. Numerous fires were reported by city authorities.
Russia and Ukraine show no signs of de-escalating their conflict, now extending over 900 days. Both nations are carrying out ambitious ground offensives while regularly exchanging long-range drone and missile strikes, each launching over 100 aerial weapons in these assaults.
