South Andaman DC Office Earns Prestigious ISO 9001:2015 Certification
The Deputy Commissioner's office of South Andaman district has received ISO 9001:2015 certification from the Quality Management Council, acknowledging its high standards in public service. Offices of the SDM, two ACs, and three tehsildars were also certified. Deputy Commissioner Arjun Sharma emphasized the commitment to timely public service and priority cases for vulnerable groups.

The office of the Deputy Commissioner of South Andaman district has been awarded the ISO 9001:2015 certification by the Quality Management Council (QMC) for its excellence in public services, an official announced on Wednesday.
The certification was also granted to the offices of the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), two assistant commissioners (AC), and three tehsildars as of August 17, the official added. The certification confirms that the Quality Management System of the Deputy Commissioner's office in Port Blair, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, meets the rigorous standards of the ISO 9001:2015 system. The scope of activities includes land revenue, law and order maintenance, land records maintenance, disaster management, public safety, certificate provision, supervision of sub-divisions and tehsils, public grievance redressal, and election management.
Speaking to PTI, Deputy Commissioner of South Andaman district Arjun Sharma expressed his gratefulness to QMC. He noted that all officials in the DC, SDM, AC, and tehsildar offices were instructed to ensure the timely delivery of public services and schemes.
"Apart from providing time-bound solutions for daily public schemes, services, and grievances, we are committed to resolving cases related to senior citizens, students, and women on a priority basis," Sharma stated.
