In the latest development following the ouster of the Sheikh Hasina-led government in Bangladesh, chiefs of all 50 police stations in Dhaka have been transferred, a significant reshuffle reported by bdnews24.com.
The transfer order was executed at midnight on Sunday, highlighting the sweeping changes taking place within the Dhaka Metropolitan Police. On August 13, another 18 officers-in-charge had been transferred.
The reshuffle includes changes across various police levels since the resignation and flight of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on August 5, prompted by massive student protests against a controversial quota system.
